Time Flies

Updated: Dec 13

The saying “time flies” has never seemed truer to me than this past year, since I started my campaign for Mayor.  After a whirlwind of coffee meetings, door knocking, and gatherings where I heard your thoughts and concerns, here’s what strikes me most about our community.

  • We are an active group and we want to be part of the answer. I noted your passion as you told me what is and is not working, and you gave me solid ideas for collaborating and finding solutions.

  • We are a community that volunteers! Of course I’m grateful for people who donate time to my campaign, but here I’m referring to volunteers at schools, mentors, coaches, HOA members, task forces, organizers of festivals and events - everyone who gives of themselves for the greater good. I admire how you come together to make ours a thriving community.

  • We have a lot of work to do, and it can be done. Thanks for telling me your worries and your ideas about parking, permitting, finances, public safety, transportation, housing, the environment, and more.

We have a great thing going here in Annapolis, and we can make it better still. We have hope and energy, expertise and talent, and we’re primed for a bright future, for all of us.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I look forward to working with you in 2025. I wish you a happy New Year, and a wonderful holiday season.

Warm regards,

Jared
